Hey folks. I have a question refering to anyone who lives and carries in Macomb County Michigan. I plan to move to Romeo, (I believe that is in Macomb) and would like to know the procedure on how to get a ccw. Is it true that Macomb is a "shall issue" county? Is the permit valid state wide?

Thanks for the help

Well, I don't live in Macomb County but it is as close to a Shall Issue county as we get (Ogema County is now the same). Romeo is in Macomb County.
Michigan resident for a period of time.
Pick up CCW application from local PD.
Fill out the app. and return it.
Attend training class.
Wait for Gun Board hearing.
Pick up CCW and pay needed fee.

All CCW's issued in Michigan are valid state wide, they are state permits issued at teh county lever.

If any of the above is wrongI am sure there will be a correction posted.
