C&r Ffl

I applied for my C&R in December, and finally got the "welcome" kit(Cost ATF over $8 to Priority mail). I received last Friday a letter saying congrats on receiving the license, and a bunch of books, license related etc. Only problem is NO license. Do they mail out seperately?

Yes.

Expect to receive the occasional package of books. In the one year I've had my C&R I've received three duplicate sets of books and a duplicate C&R license. Don't know why, but the gov has spent $24.00 or more just on postage.

You may have missed it. The license itself comes in a green nondescript envelope. Search your memory, perhaps you threw it out as junkmail? I almost did. Call them and request another just to be safe. It is most definitely easy to miss!

My license came a week after I got the twenty pounds of books.

No green envelopes, just junk mail. I'll give it a few days and call for another maybe Tuesday or Wednesday.

Sent in my C & R form last week. Does it take 2-3 months to hear from BATF?

Sometimes, it depends on your investigator. Some people report 2 weeks, others 6 months. I was about 2 months.

It took me from November to April to get mine and I'm a police officer with a saintly record and have had a military security clearance.
I did notice that they didn't hesitate to cash my check within a week of receiving it though.
