Wounded Warrior Project Alaska Hunt

Some of you may know (or may not as the case may be) that besides our biz of selling metal that goes bang to folks, we also run a fishing lodge and hunting guide service up here.

We have arranged with the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) to run an Alaska Black Bear hunt for two of our valiant wounded soldiers this spring. Five folks will be on this trip (two warriors, facilitator and cameramen) and it will be filmed for (I beleive) the Outdoor Channel. We are charging $5,000 TOTAL for this five day remote hunt, which basically covers food, gas and supplies (a normal charge is $7500 per person).

The Project is covering all other expenses, ie air fare, hotel, licenses, tag fees and so on.

This is a worthy cause. If anyone wants to donate to help the Project defray costs (not just for this hunt, but in general), you can do so on their web site. Anyone who does donate and gives me verification of same will receive special consideration if (and when ) you buy something here.

Support your troops.

Ken, is http://www.woundedwarriors.org/ the same organization? If so, you'll be pleased to know that CNN has been giving them a lot of positive publicity today .
