I Hit The Sweet Spot!
I posted a few weeks back about learning how to shoot straight. I took an hour with an instructor a couple weeks ago, and have been practicing since. Well, today it all clicked. It's hard to describe but I found the *perfect* spot for my Springfield XD9 in my hand. It was great. I ripped off tight little groups like it was my job.
Anywhoo, thanks to all who have given me advice on "shooting straight." I'm not an expert marksman yet but I definitely have taken a step forward!

I have had the frustrating experience of buying a gun not be able to rip out the bull's when you shoot it that first time. But you are right, nothing describes that great feeling of finding that perfect grip/trigger squeeze that produces that one jagged hole.

I wish I found the sweet spot with my G23. I've clicked with other guns but my Glock23 kicks my butt like an abusive spouse.

Another student of the tight group on paper, eh? Once you do get dialed in up close, you can spread back for distance and/or factor in time/speed. Once you've gotten better at that you go to multiple targets.
It's a never ending journey. Later on you get to factor in aging eyesight along with other aches and pains.
