How do you like the nagant revolver? I have considered getting one but am unsure of how they shoot.

UMP:
Never have shot the Nagant. Ammo in 7.62 Nagant is way too expensive and hard to find. Luckily at a local show I bought a box for $18 but they are for my collection instead (says CCCP on the side). Some places have .32 ACP cylinders for them. Fiocchi will run around $30 for 50. Now the trigger, man you talk about a heavy trigger pull!!!

Some people say those Webley’s are the ugliest guns. Me, I think they are a thing of beauty. Had a chance to buy a War Finish in nice shape but a 1903A3was calling my name so I had to buy it instead.

Pesta,
I've heard others refer to the Webley's as the Big Ugly. As for myself, I've been in love with Webley's since the first time I saw Lawrence of Arabia, when I was 8 years old in 1972. I settled for an altered version in .45acp. I've been looking for a Metropolitan Police for a number of years, but just haven't found the right one. |

Rcoil is mild, ejection is soft and slightly forward (which is good for recovering the precious brass,) and accuracy is quite tolerable, given the somewhat generous windage afforded by the .451" projectiles. (Insert plug for Shannon Jennings, genius gunsmith at CCA; it took a lot of tinkering to get this baby up and running from the box-o'-gun it started as, and to get the brass just right.) |
