Pepperbox pistol...?

I know this is off the wall but I have an ex-father-in-law that is about to die for a modern representation of a pepperbox pistol. Somewhere he got an ad for one that shoots 45 long colt or .410 shotgun shells. I remember seeing the ads a long time ago. Anyone remember these and possibly know where a fellow could get one nowadays? I know, this is something you really would not shoot on a frequent basis, just trying to help an old man get something he has wanted for a very long time.

Thanks for any help, you guys are great!

Lienad co. in Tenn. (I think) made these. They are no longer in production. The guns were crudely made, and the barrels had to be rotated by hand for each shot.

I've heard about these but I actually saw one in a gunshop a week ago. I totally forgot the price but it wasn't hugely expensive... 500, 600 bucks? Any more I probably would have remembered for sure.

Pretty neat little pistol! It's .357 so it shoots a badass round. It's also probably a complete waste compared to other, more reliable revolvers with more capacity and accuracy. But you're the one who wants a modern pepperbox, lol.

I am going to try and steer him towards something like the "Judge". At least this is a "real" pistol and he might not hurt himself with this one.

I know of one that came in .22, but the barrels didn't rotate, the firing pin moved from one chamber to the next. The pistol had four barrels and was not in working condition when I saw it. The gun fired, but the firing pin no longer rotated to the next barrel. Thought it was kind of neat but the old gentleman would not part with it.

The Leinad is certainly not worth 5-600 dollars!
The .22 mentioned was a copy of the Sharps derringer.

Here is my Sharps pepperbox pistol - I think it's .30 or .32 caliber rimfire - given to by a grateful patient. The date on it is 1859 and the firing pin (wedge, actually) rotates 90 degrees each time it is cocked - it is single action.

The .308 cartridge is there for size perspective.
