Best price on the net for the Bushnell Holosight?

Anyone know a place with decent service and a good price on the Bushnell AA batt version Holosight? Thanks.

Hmmm, I'm reading that the AA version has been discontinued; wonder why. Only the N and AAA available now. But isn't the AAA version - the compact - going to have a smaller field of view than the N version?

Ha - changed my mind and ordered the Trijicon/Armson O.E.G. sight for $99 plus shipping from SWFA - I've always wanted to try an OEG to test the claims of it being the fastest sight out there, and since it's been discontinued by Trijicon, I thought I might grab one and try it out while still in stock. Plus no batteries needed. If it blows, then I'll go with the AAA Mini-holosight XLP for $220 - that is the best price I'm seeing - there at SWFA.

Anyone used one of these? I guess they work as long as you're not a one-eyed man.

HA!

It's been years since I've seen one atop an AR but at the time it was pretty spiffy...full field of view, just put the red dot on the bad guy and buh-bye.

Was thinking about scooping one myself but still have my eye on an EOTech.

Thanks. Can't wait to try it. I, like most people (I'd imagine) are initially turned off by the idea of OEG, since you can't see the target through the scope. But really, it doesn't matter as long as you train to keep both eyes open. It's almost like magic makes a dot appear on the target, due to the brain's ability to put the two images together. Love the fact that it's small, light, seems like it should be sturdy, is supposed to be very fast, and offers unlimited field of view.

Questions:

The ad for it says that it's self-illuminating in the day. I assume this is via fiber optics, correct?

How does one connect to the gun? 1" rings, I take it?

Is it parallax-free regardless of angle, like a good red dot, or not?
