Revealing day at the range

I went to a local range today to rent a few 9mms to help me decide on what my next gun will be. I have shot the Glock 19 a few times in the past and my impressions were always the same: I can shoot lights out with it but hated how it felt in my hands (I have relatively small hands). I wanted to love it because of its reputaion and reliability, but just couldn't warm up to it. I also wasn't crazy about the lack of an external safety. I have also shot the Beretta Px4 and loved the way it felt. I own a Taurus Millenium Pro which I like. Today, I rented the M&P. I put 50 rounds through it. I wasn't too accurate with it but thought it felt decent in my hands. I then decided to rent a G19 again. After another 50 rounds, I think I have been finally converted. For some reason, it didn't feel as awkward today. I can't explain it. Again, I was shooting lights out with it. I wish I could understand why it felt so good suddenly. I'm wondering if the M&P had the "large" backstrap on it. I also shot my Taurus Millenium Pro and my accuracy sucked with it today. I think there is definitely a Glock 19 in my future.

Have you tried the Springfield XD9? Mine has such a natural feel. Much like my 1911.

Try a Walther P99 if you can.

Do they have any HKs to rent?

I think I'd buy a PX4 over a Glock.
