Best Handgun Manufacturer

What is the best gun make you OWN or would like to OWN!

I voted GLOCK, although it was a tough call between Glock and HK. I chose GLOCK because I have used it more and had never ever given me any problem, plus the aim is remarkable.

On Taurus

I have Taurus 24/7 Pro, but voted GLOCK. I have had trouble with my three Taurus' I changed, maybe they aint built for me. My brother has it as well, and he has no complaints. But was he on this forum, I am sure he would have voted for his HK VP70z

Polls

I am surprised that all HK and Glock lovers did not vote yet.

How about all you .45 Colt guys...and Taurus ones?

Well, seeing as I have 3 USP Compacts, 1 P2000, 1 P2000SK and 1 P7M8...I had to give HK at least one vote.

Collective arsenal at our house:
Para-Tac 4, .45ACP
Taurus Model 66 .357
Ruger P95DC 9mm
Ruger MKIII .22 Target bbl
CZ75B 9mm
CZ83 .380
H&R .32
Taurus PT111 MilPro 9mm
S&W Model 10 Victory .38sp

My CZ's are by babies. Fine, fine, pistols. Accurate, robust, reliable, ergonomic and just plain fun to shoot. World class value in a pistol.
I voted CZ, but my Fiance would vote for Taurus.

HK quality and workmenship

I am guessing HK guys are still sleeping over in US

Otherwise it would take the lead.

Most likely at work not sleeping (or maybe at work sleeping ), it's past noon here on the east coast. HK doesn't have the ownership numbers in the US as much as Springfield, Kimber, Colt, SIG, etc.

Patience!

SA Custom Shop's Professional Model or Les Baer TRS. Pistols with the build quality and care that reflects its price.

For a you're more likely to "treat your gun like a lawnmower" knockabout pistol: Glocks in 9mm.

But I treat all my pistols with the same "reasonable" care and use. What's the point if I can't?

Mal.. What do you carry, and fancy the most?

I have personal hunch that if everyone votes here SIG might win the day.

That's exactly what I voted.

As far as everyone voting, I would be very surprised if 5% of the active membrs will vote in any poll, and for that reason alone they aren't a very good indicator of the facts. Polls just aren't that exciting to most. Probably a larger percentage will view the results than will actually vote in any given poll.

You have to realize that the very same question you have asked in your poll has been asked numerous times in the past 7 or 8 years. That's another reason you won't get a large "turnout".

polls

Well....still would hope that member viewing the result would vote, since I have seen the polls from last 8 years, and the fact that there have been significant improvements in the gun making.

I can't vote in this poll. I can't say that any of my guns are better than another. I won't spend my money or my life on a weapon that I feel is inferior in any way. I have Springers, Smiths, Tanfoglios, CZ, even Bersa. But, the one thing they all have in common is that they each fill a specific duty.

And with that being said, they are all my favorite. (it's like asking which kid do you love better?)

I voted for Sig but that was only because Les Baer was not listed as one of the choices. Sigs are great, but Les Baer's gun are incredible.

There really should have been an option for "other" on this poll. The OP did try to get some more uncommon makes in there, but left out a whole bunch. Some common ones too, like Para-ord, Auto-ord, Wilson, STI .. etc, the list on on.
