What do you feel is the best CCW Semi

I am leaning toward the Kahr but then again thinking of Sig or possibly HK.
What are your thoughts?
Ideally I generally wear jeans and like the idea of slimline of the Kahrs practical use of just sliding in the pocket, what do you feel is the best for this purpose?

I handled a Kahr CW40 last week, really liked the size and feel(especially the grip). Only thing I did not like was, it sounded like I was un-zipping the slide when I racked it.

This also happened with the pm40 in the shop.

FWIW It may be a harmless nothing, but I have quite a few guns from different makes, and none of them sound like that.

Find a range that will rent you the Kahr and fire it before buying. Never a More violent flipping S.O.B. on the green earth! They are so small and cute and a great gun but if you can't shoot it, you can't train with it! I have a HK USP .45 Compact and I like it but I do not carry it either. I carry a Glock 36 or 27 depending on the day.

Colt Defender or the new Agent. Then a Commander size pistol.

My favorite two...

For small semiauto CCW guns, my favorite two are a Kahr MK9 and a Colt Defender. Both of these conceal very well and are similar in some respects, having 3 inch barrels, slide widths of 0.90 inches, and single stack magazines. The Kahr conceals the easiest, of course, since it has a "2 finger" grip and a 6 round magazine. The Colt will take 3 fingers on the grip and has a 7 round Wilson magazine.

When I can't carry something larger I use one of these.

I'll throw in a vote for the Glock 19. Small and concealable, high capacity and
stone reliable.

For me the Sig 239 is the perfect pistol for CCW. I had a USP compact but traded for a full size USP just because the 239 concealed so much better in the warmer months. The 239 is very accurate for it's size and has been 100% reliable.

The 380 ppks aren't bad, but a bit heavy and big. I like my .32-seecamp...as far as size and punch it's not bad. I have the Bobcat too which is the same size as the seecamp but has a slightly longer grip which I like. Been trying to get a finger extender for the seecamp's grip, but that's like pulling hen's teeth. The seecamp grip is the same length as the grip on my 38 derringer, so it is fairly short.

The best CCW- Smith and Wesson Model 4516. Ask any LEO. They are built like a tank, shoot great, incredibly reliable, and have a seven round mag in a compact package.

You may disagree but this is one auto that has proven it's worth in the trenchs, not in the gun rags.

I'm going to pick up the new Walther PPS just as soon as it is approved in CA. From what I've read from other users, it's definitely worth consideration.

The Kel-Tec PF9 is a very good choice. 7+1 capacity, very slim and around $300. The trigger is much better than the P3AT that I had and the recoil is much more tolerable. I have a G19 but there is no comparison between the it and the PF9 as far as concealability is concerned.

My choice:

20oz, thin, flawlessly reliable, accurate. And .45 ACP. 6+1 as the 745, 10+1 as the 145, which is thicker in the grip.

Hold it up next to a PF-9...they're pretty close in size!!!

I think the Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro Pistol in 9mm is not a bad choice. It shoots well and priced right. I also keep these little gems around just in case......

Hmmm, that one looks intriguing. How much does the 745 cost?

H&K p2000 or Kahr K40. Either will handle 99% of your needs.

Concealability and Fire Power

Glock 39. Now, if you can live with a revolver, nothing beats a S&W 642 in the pocket.
