PT1911 pics
A few days ago I posted this thread: http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...d.php?t=283847
asking about this deal. I bought it on Thursday. Here's pics of it, though I haven't shot her yet thanks to the Blizzard of '08:

Congratulations on your new PT1911B. I'm so enamored with mine that I intend to add the stainless model as well.

I figured for the money I couldn't go wrong. It was a pleasant surprise to see the warrantee card still untouched in the case.

Officer's Match, what kind of deal did you get? I've seen them for around $500 in my area. Good looking 1911.

Beautiful!! Up until a few days ago, I've been trying to decide between the Springfield Champion and the PT1911. I made up my mind in favor of the Taurus and am more confident on my choice after looking at your pics! I'll be getting mine next week.

Wait until you shoot it, OM, you'll think you got an even better deal. Best price I've seen around here is $509, before taxes.

It is used, but I haven't cleaned it - that's the way it looked in the case at Gander Mountain.

Nice looking pistol. I hope it serves you well. The only thing it needs, in my opinion, is a nice set of wood, double diamond grips. That will really set it off.
Glad you survived the blizzard of '08. We spent one day house bound thanks to the 12" of snow.

Officer'sMatch--
You got a real good gun there, and don't let anyone tell you any different. It looks good and it will shoot good for a long time. I can't believe it's used.......and you got a tremendous deal. |

Thanks guys. I am anxious to shoot her next to my Combat Elite and my Officer's Match. I'll post the range results afterwards.

Handguns Magazine likes it. You can read it here: http://www.handgunsmag.com/featured_..._09/index.html
I may keep my eye out for one of these myself. It sounds like a great way to break into the 1911 scene without breaking the bank. Enjoy it. |
