Taurus quality. Finally a definitive answer.

This is a rental Taurus at the range where I work. I promise it is not altered, Photoshopped, or otherwise faked. I did not notice this until yesterday. What do you all think?

And yes, it is for sale.

Whoa!

How screwed up is that?

Funny as hell though.

Wow,that is 'messed' up.

Good eye there.

I'd bet Taurus would pay twice what that pistol is worth to get it back.

They know who runs the laser etchers on their handgun barrels.

Someone is about to lose their job,in that department and the quality control department.

They can read the serial number,on that gun, that's all they need.

Holy crap Batman! That's outstanding!

Now, the real question is, just how many Magnuns are out there? I'm guessing that isn't the only one that escaped Brazil.

OK, the Catholic nuns were tough back when I was going to Catechism in the 60's that’s for sure,,,, and the rulers that they carried put the fear of god into all of us,,,,, and my knuckles still swell up every time I go by the Catholic school.
But I don’t remember them Nuns carrying guns.

I bet the guy who etched that one was laughing his butt off at how people would react to his "mistake". Really though, some collector should grab it up I for one have never seen a .357 magnun. I bet ammo would be hard to find for it though.........

What Taurus 'Quality Control' dept are you talking about? I wasn't aware such a thing existed.

The employee responsible has a good excuse in that he probably can't speak English, but if they do find him they'll give him a raise for finding an innovative way to cut cost.

Most of these are mis-prints aren't of much value except for the hard core collector. I have seen a number of Colts with various errors and the seller is always looking for a premium price. They don't sell easy.

I would love to buy it and have it shipped to NY. I would have to take it to the PD to have it registered and added to my permit (the ownership permit here lists all your guns).

They are robots there and simply copy what the gun says. I could have NYS officially recognize this as a "357 Magnun" in writing on my permit.

Maybe the rental range got it as a bargain d/t the misprint?.....

I've always wondered....with so many other types of merchandise offering discounts on "factory seconds", why don't gun companies do the same? If it saved me some money, I'd love to own a S&W M&PP, Springfield XXXDD, or a Ruger Vaqueno......

Taurus sucks - I'd rather live beside a man with a S&W/Ruger or Colt than to own one.
