There is a real slick way to discredit any story or rummor...
Say your at work and your wanting a drink - the water cooler is surrounded by a gaggle of people listening to a story - ANY STORY - be it regarding MicroSoft or Apple or Gun Control or Crime control... OJ or Ramsy...
All you have to do is say "Urban Legend" and the group will disipate vaster than a vapor trail.
Just what the hell is this Urban Legand thing anyway? Who started this?
You cant believe everything you here - thats true... and some Urban Legends really are just that... but others - are NOT just balderdash... but real events that have been Labeled URBAN LEGEND because someone with a thick head said so!
You all have heard about the Concord that crashed into the hotel in Paris... Thats Real. That Happened. That is about to become an Urban Legend... I overheard that remark about it an hour ago! Do people read the news anymore? All this Conection via the Internet to on the spot newsreporting and people are STILL dumbing down!

Its amazing the power of stupidity.

Yes, that's the old "the fact that something is supposed to be an urban legend is itself an urban legend" quandry. One thing I think may fall into this category is the Hitler quote about "this day will go down in history..." - you know the one. It's always called an urban legend, but I've never seen any EVIDENCE that it is an UL (no evidence either way); so until I see evidence that is IS in fact an UL, then I'll continue to disseminate it.

That's good. You've seen no evidence supporting that it's a real quote, so you'll continue saying it???

To All:

There's a bogus Hitler quote, and a valid one. I encourage everyone to check out this link for details:

http://www.jpfo.org/faq.htm

Personally, I think that the real quote is more chilling than the bogus one.
