I started out with nothing... and still have most of it left.
It is going to be fun to watch and see how long the meek can keep the earth after they inherit it. Consider what you think justice requires and decide accordingly. But never give your reasons; for your judgement will proably be right, but your reasons will certaianly be wrong. Everything that i did in my life wortwhile, I caught hell for. Look out for women. you never know when they're going to scream, or faint or go for a gun! Anyone who stares long enough into the distance is bound to be mistaken for a philosopher or mystic in the end. |

One of my favorites,
"A hyphenated American is not an American at all. This is just as true of the man who puts 'Native' before the hyphen as of the man who puts German or Irish or English or French before the hyphen. Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. Our allegiance must be purely to the United States. We must unsparingly condemn any man who holds any other allegiance" Theodore Roosevelt, 12 October 1915 |

some I rememeber: (I apoligize if this offends anyone)
friendly fire isn't all that friendly the only thing more accurate than enemy fire is usually friendly fire. as long as there are tests in school, there will be prayer there as well 10-4 additionally you're clear to (supposed to be 10-8) code 8. never share a foxhole with anyone braver than you. having a buddy is essentual, it gives the other side someone else to shoot at. incoming fire has the right of way. don't look important, this draws fire. This little exchange is one of my favorites.

If trouble threatens, call on me, and I will equalize." -Gun advertisement from the late 1800s "Everybody dies. Die standing up." "3...2...1...Impact. BOOM! OH, YEAH!" -Gulf war aircraft's bombadier/navigator (can't remember if it was an A-6E Intruder or an F-111 'Vark...) "You jammed your AK-47? What'd you do, s*** in the magazine?" |

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. "Put a rifle in the hands of a Subject, and he immediately becomes a Citizen." -- Jeff Cooper
"The fact is that the average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary, exactly like his love of sense, justice and truth. He is not actually happy when free; he is uncomfortable, a bit alarmed, and intolerably lonely. Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty - and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies." -- H.L. Mencken, February 12, 1923, Baltimore Evening Sun "If God had not wanted them to be sheared, he would not have made them sheep." -- Caldero (Bad guy from the Magnificent Seven) "Don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blow." -- Bob Dylan "This is This" -- Robert DeNiro as "Michael" in THE DEER HUNTER "The unarmed man is not just defenseless - he is also contemptible." -- Machiavelli ------------------ Formerly known as Jack 99 "The Constitution is the fundamental law for the federal government. If that government's own courts can arbitrarily change it's meaning, the government becomes a law unto itself --- that is a lawless government, a government of men, not of law." -- Joseph Sobran "But how is this legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime." -- Frederic Bastiat |

From the Nightstalkers' homepage, two commandments of OpSec:
I. Thou shalt not park thy helicopter in the open, for it bringeth the rain of steel. X. Thou shalt cover thy face, hands, and helmet, for thine enemies maketh war not on bushes. More available at www.nightstalkers.com Also from the same source: The important things are always simple. The simple things are always hard. The easy way is always mined. If the enemy is in range, SO ARE YOU. Anything you do can get you shot, including doing nothing. And last, my favorite: "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." ~George Orwell |
