FORMER CNN Headline News anchor Lynne Russell, who's trying to forge an acting
career, says she's in talks to pose for Playboy.

Russell, who set hearts aflutter with her sultry looks and pouty lips, told
Atlanta radio station Star 94 that "plans are in the works" for her to pose for
an upcoming issue of the magazine.

Russell - who is 54 and holds a black belt in karate - didn't say if she would
be naked or simply scantily clad.

"We cannot confirm or deny those kinds of things," a Playboy spokeswoman said
yesterday.

Russell left Headline News in May after 18 years with CNN's spinoff news
channel. She said last month that she's been cast as an abused woman in a
Canadian TV series, "The Ride," opposite ex-"Homicide" star Yaphett Kotto.

Russell also wrote the book, "How to Win Friends, Kick Ass and Influence
People," which was published in 1999.

One of Russell's replacements on Headline News is Andrea Thompson, the ex-star
of ABC's "NYPD Blue" star.

Naked photos of Thompson popped up on the Internet shortly after CNN announced
she would be joining Headline News - which re-launches Aug. 6 with a new look
and several new anchors.

I saw Lynn in her Fulton County Sheriff's Department Reserve Deputy uniform at the Arts Festival in Peidmont park several years ago (6-7? ). I always thought she was sexy. Might have to go buy a PB if this happens. Is she getting replaced by someone younger as part of the Communist News Network makeover? If so, I'll not watch CNN some more - only watch FNC as it is.

It came as a shock to me to learn the Lynn Russel quit CNN but since I haven't watched more than a few minutes of their drivel in months, I had only myself to blame.

Now, on to business. Ms. Russel was the only valid reason to watch the Commie News Network IMHO. If she is going to grace the pages of Playboy, then I will know exactly what to buy for my dad's birthday gift this year (we both have similar tastes in women*).
