The Audacity of Hillary Clinton

I read this article:

Hillary Blames 9/11 Attack on Bush Tax Cuts on www.newsmax.com

This shrew should be dropped off in the middle of the Taliban's barracks so she can be taken care of. The reason we were attacked and are vulnerable are due to her husband's pathetic foreign policy and his gutting of our military and intelligence agencies.

Hillary Blames 9/11 Attack on Bush Tax Cuts

New York Senator Hillary Clinton said Saturday that she blames the Bush administration's tax cut program for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks that leveled the World Trade Center and destroyed part of the Pentagon.

"If we hadn't passed the big tax cut last spring, that I believe undermined our fiscal responsibility and our ability to deal with this new threat of terrorism, we wouldn't be in the fix we're in today," Clinton told CNN's Jonathan Karl.

In addition to undermining the country's ability to deal with terrorist attacks, Clinton said the Bush tax cuts worsened the economic downturn in the wake of Sept. 11.

"We had eight years of prosperity because we paid down our debt and we got rid of our deficit," she complained. "We hit a rough spot, and it was turned into a terrible bump because of the attacks of September 11."

Clinton also criticized the economic stimulus package passed last month by the Republican-controlled House of Representatives.
"I thought the plan passed by the House of Representatives was a fiscal disaster that would set our country back for years to come," the 2004 presidential hopeful said, adding, "I don't understand how they passed it with a straight face."

Clinton slammed Bush and congressional Republicans after telling CNN that "the fight against terrorism has to be such a united effort."

CNN's Karl did not ask Clinton about her husband's comments Wednesday, where he seemed to blame the 9/11 attacks on 19th century U.S. slavery and the mistreatment of the American Indian.

She was also not queried on accounts by former White House insiders who say her husband was too preoccupied by his extramarital liaisons to follow through on repeated promises to hunt down Osama bin Laden.

Quite frankly, I think she's finally gone utterly insane. I'm talking basket weaving, rubber room, white coat insane.

She's doing a great job. Comments like these handled by a skillful Republican debate opponent will make sure she never gets the chance to get into the oval office.

What? ! ?

Oh come on. That has got to be a joke! How could anyone be SO stupid as to say something like that?

Anyone got another source for this?

Edit:
I sent a question to CNN to get more info. If it's real and they'll admit it (yeah right), I'll post the link or info they give me.

Letter to CNN:
Newsmax.com is quoting an interview that Jonathan Karl did with Hillary Clinton. I'm trying to confirm this report. Here is the NewsMax.com link:
http://www.newsmax.com/showinsidecov...1/11/11/113957

I cannot find any such interview on your site. Did this interview take place and where can I find the transcript or article on it?

Thank you,
Ken Ross

"Comments like these handled by a skillful Republican debate opponent "

Unfortunately that will never happen. It seems that the Republicans never try to make their opponent squirm during the debates. Even if the truth is on their side they won't bring up the fact that their opponent is a lying sack of ****. Recently Republicans have been very good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think the Wash Times headline is more accurate. Technically, hillary is not blaming the tax cut for the attacks, she's blaming the tax cut for the economic slump after the attacks. The goal is to get a bunch of democrats elected to Congress in 2002, and a return to tax'n'spend economics.

BTW, she said, "We had eight years of prosperity because we paid down our debt and we got rid of our deficit." That's BS. The debt kept growing, at least in the last few Clinton years, but the media just stopped mentioning it. It's still up in the trillion dollar range.

How true. Their apparent unwillingness to FIGHT to win has led people like Ann Coulter to call the GOP "The Stupid Party."

How soon you forget.

Senator Carpetbagger's comments are designed to blunt the results of today's report of the latest election recount. She was no doubt given a head's up by some lacky in the media that the story would play today. She had the required 2 days to get her comments in print before Bush won the presidency for the umpteenth time.

If the Republicans were smart (which they aren't) they would have long ago started calling this the "Clinton recession." That would not be a lie by any stretch, and it would serve to remind voters of just how we got into this mess.

If the economy isn't back on track by June of next year, we're going to see a Democrat house and more Democrats in the senate.

As for Hillary, every time she speaks I understand better why Bill went elsewhere for companionship.

Hillary Clinton

I think her beeing BOOED OFF STAGE, her and Shumer "showing up" at the WTC with a grin on their faces and, her uttering things like this should make her UN-ELECTABLE for President.

Waitone,

She didn't even need a media lackey: the Washington (Com)Post, one of the sponsors of the latest recount, published notice of the story in its Sunday editorial section, the bulldog edition of which hit the stands last Thursday.
