Steyr M40 question
Does anyone know how I can verify if my Steyr M40 has the trigger upgrade? Thanks

Ok nevermind, I e-mailed GSI and got a prompt response stating that my M40 has indeed been serviced. Damn shame GSI isn't the importer still. I called Dynamit Nobel in the past, trying to get information and they were rather rude.

I don't think the .40s needed the upgrade. Just the 9mms.

You can tell by looking at the trigger. There is a little pin in the side of the trigger that holds the inner "safety trigger" in place.
On the original trigger this pin is close to the tip of the trigger while the "upgraded" trigger has this pin in the middle of the trigger. Here's an original trigger: Here's an upgraded one: As far as I know they upgraded both .40 and 9mm but I think the problems where with the .40 (if not both).

They took the trigger down from 8lbs to 5.5lbs, and they had some nicking on the frame due to the angle the extractor was throwing the brass out. Someone else may have a picture of the top of the slide.
