Under development: a new forum to further the same cause

My first reaction to the retirement of TFL was unhappy. However, that was balanced by the knowledge that we can support the same goals and the same cause with the benefit of the experience gained at TFL. While the specifics are still in development, at least one new forum will happen shortly -- in the spirit, if not in the mirror image -- of TFL. Details forthcoming as details become clear to all who are working towards it right now. We hope to have the new venue available before the end of 2002.

And I am soooooooo there!
(Maybe I can be the new forum mascot or something. )

As much as I'd hate to see TFL go, I am hoping most of us will be a part of the new forum. It'll be bumpy for awhile, but hopefully everybody will remain vigilant.

Enjoy TFL to the end of the month.

I've been mostly silent lately, but I am SO THERE! I couldn't believe it when I read that TFL was going static.

Oleg, let me know if you need any technical help - I'm an old mainframer/client-server developer, but I have some experience with the new format bulletin boards, and am always wanting to learn more.

I'm there. There is no other forum that has the ability to support the breadth of discussions and number of people. This is one of the best resources in our common struggle, and it would be a great loss to the cause to allow it to fade away and not be replaced.

Count me in! If financial support is needed, I'll sell a gun and donate the proceeds, as well as pony up monthly if a membership fee is required. Let's make this happen, gals 'n guys!

If Oleg needs a few days past the 1st, we'll hold it together for y'all until he's up and running. I expect it to be prior to the 1st though.
