Rossi lockwork is based on the old S&W innards. I have owned one of their older .357 magnums and it was a much better gun than I expected, and I would buy another if they made one in .45 ACP.
FWIW, they make a stainless .357 magnum that looks great and seems to list under $400.
I recommend them.
