I too bought an optima pro 2 years ago, it took some time to figure out the right load, but when I found it (100 gr 777 pellets pushing 245 powerbelts) it came to life. It has seemed to get better with time as well. The one draw back now is the weight. Mounted with a Bushnell Elite, its a pig. Congrats on finding the new gun.
