Until I hear of a rash of shower shootings in my neighborhood/city/state, I think I'll just have to rely on my blue heeler to alert me to anyone in the house and let the gun stay dry. If her bark wouldn't alert me, the screams of an intruder being bitten probably would.
There are ways to protect yourself other than hanging your holster from the shower head.
