I have heard the Taurus stories and they gave me pause. I have since bought a Model 44, model 605 and 2 model 92's. I'm not sure about their service as I have never needed it. The revolvers are strong and well made, the pistols function flawlessly and are accurate. Until they do me wrong I am happy. I see them no more likely to break down than any of the other brands I own. I like the 92's best of my 9mm's that also include Rugers and S&W.
