Two huge variables. Tend to take "caliber" out of the equation.
Platform. Gun weight, grip fit, sound etc etc.
Load. I have done some .38 and .44 specials that would unknot your tie. To be used in N frames or better only.
Generally agree with CastleBravo's list for mile loadings in each caliber listed.
