Walther PPK/S Walther PP (.22LR) (Wish I had it back) Have two or three that I haven't got around to shooting yet, but I try to buy quality stuff. If it turns out to not be, it's history. The only reason I will get rid of a gun (lately) is because it's not reliable. I've only traded one in the last 15 years, a Springfield Ultra-Comp that FTF'd on ball. I'm not unreasonable, but if a 1911 style .45 wont feed ball, it's a paperweight. Traded for my P245 (so far NIB). |

Is there something wrong with my eyes or doesn't the Walther P99 appear in this fine listing ?
I've fired countless round of all kinds - namely LRN, JHP, FMJ and even subsonic or Action-Express - without a single malfunction. Of all the fishes in the sea, the P99 is the one for me ! |

I know for a fact that my Glock 21 has never jammed on a factory round.
My Colt 1911 is so old that I'm not sure, IIRC its never jammed on factory after its initial break in, and reliability upgrades (Ramp-throat-polish-ext. ejector), but I just hardly ever shoot factory anymore. Its less finiky about its reloads than the Glock though. |

My Presentation grade Vietnamese clone of M1911A1
My SE Asian clone, a rust bucket she may be, with rusty left over ammo from "the big one" never has jammed on me.

What makes you think your experiences are more valid than anyone elses? I think YOU may be full of it. Are you seriously saying flatout that posters here are lying? Shake.. I have extensive weapons training with the Federal Govt., and formerly with the military, as well as being a firearms instructor/range officer....I'm not bragging, just starting off with that statement so you know I"m not going to be conned here.. That said, there is a lot of bull here.......fish stories etc........about pistols that never bobble or misfeed. Maybe with ball ammo some of them are perfectly reliable, but not with factory defensive ammo.. All of them jam once in a while.. Maybe these folks haven't shot their toys very much.. I strongly believe that a lot of (not all of) these people on this post are stretching the truth.. I see all makes jam at the range.......... The one I personally see on a day to day basis as the most reliable, is the Beretta 92FS....and I attribute that to the HUGE OPEN ejection port. I don't own a Beretta anymore, although I regret selling my last one, and I'm not endorsing it, I'm just relating my observations... I currently carry a G22, with a G27 for backup/offduty, and they have both, (at least once) malfunctioned. Even if the malfunction, was not to go completely back into battery, and all that was required was a tap on the rear of the slide, IT'S STILL A MALFUNCTION! Like Dennis Miller says : "That's just my opinion, I could be wrong..[B] |

Of the guns I have, the only one that hasn't given me any kind of problems at all, has been my Springfield Compact .45
Of course, it only has about 1,000 rounds through it so far and the vast majority of those have been FMJ so I guess I just need to give it time. Rick |

Well, maybe HK has the USP "problem" worked out now. I know I heard about some rumblings about reliability issues in the past. Judging from this thread, methinks they've got their act together now.
I'm glad to see Beretta 92s and 96s getting listed here. As DSK said, for all of the trash talk they get - they perform. Every time. Everyone should own a Beretta 92 or 96. Stone cold reliable.

I would be interested to know which pistols shot in IDPA or ISPC matches have never jammed.
Hearing from folks with an entire 500 rounds fired at a paper target under ideal conditions tells me nothing at all. Oh my g-26 1000 rounds no jams. |

Autos that have never malfunctioned...
Bertta Jetfire 950
Seecamp Kel-Tec P-32 (Hey, I know it's an inexpensive firearm, but it's the truth!) Colt Mustang Pocketlite Glock 27 I clean after every range trip. (It relaxes me.) With a good pistol and good maintenance there's little chance of a jam. (IMHO!) KR |

Ruger Mk.II
Sig-Sauer P225 Either would digest everything I put through it. Right after I bought the Sig, I ran around gun shops in search of crappy ammo. I bought boxes of nameless Soviet-era 9mm, ancient surplus, stuff that had obviously been sitting in someone's attic for decades..mixed it in a bowl, throwing in a few handfuls of modern FMJ, and just for kicks, some +P hollowpoints from various makers. I only had the chance to go through two hundred rounds of that mixture that day...no jams. More than a few hard primers (that went off when I just pulled the trigger again; DA is convenient) but no jams. |

You guys are much luckier than me!!
Even though I'm a maniac for perfect ammo, keep gun clean and lubed, good springs and mags, good shooting technique, etc., all the little details, IMHO all guns malfunction sometime, and sometimes it is a mistery why.
I would say less than 1 in 1000 is very good (...in the perfect conditions described above), and less than 1 in 2000 is excellent. I see malfunctions quite often in IPSC, with good shooters and excellent quality, clean guns shooting good ammo. |

Here's one that no one has mentioned:
Phoenix Arms HP-22 Yes I'm not kidding. I once owned a Colt Police Positive revolver that would jam every so often and I would have to swing the cylider out to get to work again. ergo: even revovers "jam" |

It probably has a lot to do with maintenance of my equipment. I take care of my guns and they take care of me. My 91A1 only has 50 rounds through it and we'll see what the future holds for it. Other than that, I guess I'm lucky to have 6 of my pistols be jam-free. |

My Daisy BB Gun, lever action, "gas" operated, 12.5" @ 25 yards...now that would make White Feather proud. Oh, and never ever jammed on me, even on full auto.
