Is pitting in the bore common among new rifles

I just bought a Bergara 270 and have not sent 100 bullets through it yet and the bore is pitted somewhat. I am not use to having a bore scope so I'm unfamiliar with what to expect.

A picture would be very helpful. In my experience using a bore scope, barrels look a LOT rougher than you would think they should.

No, it is not.

But if you are not used to using a borescope, you are in for a world of discovery.
Many great bores look terrible with a borescope.

A bore does not need to look good to shoot well.
