If it's not at ASC, I probably can't make it.

I am not much on shooting pistols and rifles but I do enjoy shotgunning. I am a member at GHGC on the south side and can have all the guests I want so if any would like to have a skeet or sporting clays shoot there let me know.

What's the latest?

I'd like to come meet you guys on the 14th but the Texas Tactical Shooters website says the shoot for the 100 Club is at Hot Wells, not ASC. Which is it?

Tonerguy,

You are correct, the shoot on the 14th is at Hot Wells, not ASC. Thanks for asking, as I think there has been some confusion. I will be following up to take roll-call later in the week.

PWK, come anyway! This is a handgun shoot, but I bet you'll have fun anyway! And hey, its for a good cause.

I haven't been much into shotguns myself, but want to find out more, so maybe if we get this thing going we can rotate and do pistol/rifle/shotgun on alternating shoots, or at some point do a 3-gun thing.

A prize

We're donating a $100 Gift Certificate for Tucker Gunleather to the cause for an auction or a door prize.

Let me know the details and we'll be there.

Saturday is fast approaching! I have tried to contact everyone, but please sound off if you will be making it.

Bob Price (our own BPNOVUM) has generously offered to give a tube of Blue Wonder to anyone that attends the shoot, and is also donating product for auction to support the 100 Club.

This should be a lot of fun, and I hope we can get a decent group of TFL'ers together.

See you there!

HL.

I found TFL via a post at FreeRepublic. We have several shooters in our Houston Chapter and we get to the ASC range often.

We are having a shoot at ASC on October 27. We probably all share some common interests and we should get together.

I'm going to send the other shooters in our Chapter over here, I'm sure they will enjoy the forum.

Match not at ASC!

The Houston Match to Support the 100 Club this Saturday, 9/14 is at Hot Wells, starting at 10:00 AM.

If you go to ASC you really will miss "the whole shootin' match."

It's going to be a fun shoot. You can run several events as many times as you pay to run it. I was told it involved busting balloons.

Hot Wells is out Hwy 290 Northwest past Highway 6/Hwy 1960 a couple of miles or so. It's on the south side of 290 over the RR tracks and across from Compac Computer's 290 plant site.

Toneryguy, thanks for the post. I think there may still be some confusion.

FlyerFR, welcome to TFL! Please come and bring any friends you can round up. This is for a very good cause, and should be a lot of fun. The details are below:

We will be meeting at Hot Wells range at 10am to participate in a benefit shoot for the 100 Club (info at http://www.tacticalshooters.com/100club.htm ). The map on that site is broken, but a map can be found at http://home.houston.rr.com/mcfarlain/shooti2.gif

I will be there a little before 10am. I am not familiar with the range, but I will park in a prominent location and try to gather everyone up. I drive a silver Honda Civic, and will wear a white polo shirt and green beretta cap so that everyone can spot me.

Houston Shooters / Houston FReepers

hlmcfa,

I'm going to try to get the shooters in our Chapter to register for this forum today. Some of them may be interested in the benefit this weekend, otherwise we can find you and the others at ASC some weekend.

Thank you all!

I enjoyed meeting all of you at the TFL Shoot in Houston today at Hot Wells. I even got to shoot in my first IDPA match! What a kick!

It was a great event raising money for a great cause, the Houston 100 Club! Thanks to all who put it together and made it possible.

Nice to have met you. Glad you had fun. Come shoot again.

Shooters are good people. The RO's were great. Volunteers were friendly and courteous.

Everyone enjoyed it except the balloons.

Thanks to all who made it! Aside from the TFL'ers, there were also a lot of other area shooters. I also have to agree that the volunteers and SO's were great! The baloon shoot was a TON of fun and we will definitely have to set that up when we get our next TFL group together. I think we have a SO in our midst somewhere, so maybe he can help with the organizing.

Thanks again to all. We will try to make this a regular thing!

Additional thanks to BPNovum and Tonerguy for their contributions to the 100 Club cause!

HL.

By the way, here is a picture of one of my friends running the IDPA scenarios. (Not a TFL'er, but I'm working on him! )

Was having too much fun to take many pictures....
