As much as I absolutely love my Ruger .243, I would save my Ruger P89 9mm that belonged to my dad. He died this past November. I would run back into a burning house for it.

It would be a very hard thing to do. My Dad built me a 8mm Mauser when I was 14 it is not the best rifle, but it was given to me by him. I guess that would be my first choice. If I really needed a rifle to keep on using and depending on it would be my Ruger NO 1 30-06. I have just to many differnt loadings that I use it for. So I guess if I really did not need to depend on having a gun it would be the 8mm just because it was my first rifle, and my Dad built it for me, otherwise it would be the 06.

Since this is a rifle forum, I'd keep my SAR-48HB

The wood/ss Mini 30, due to the price of the basic rifle.
Then with one hand on the bag's grip, grab two (.50 cal.) cans of x39 ammo, or the SKS. Only need to run from a fire or (New Madras Fault) earthquake. No chance of riots out here-almost rural. TheNatureBoy: my condolences. Last edited by Ignition Override; February 25, 2009 at 02:44 AM. |

870 12 gauge. The versatility is unmatched with the rifled and smoothbore barrels.

Me too... A Savage Stevens Favorite. Grandma gave me it back around 77 or 78. She told me it was from a garage sale. I've had it all this time and just found out from my dad that it was really my great grandpa's from when he was a kid in Nebraska. Dad tried t get it from me, but I was able to fend him off.

My WASR-10, all the magazines I could grab, and all the ammo I could carry.
Although, if the scenario is I am standing in front of my gun safe grabbing my one gun...my ass would have to be on fire not to grab my Springfield Loaded 1911 too!! |
