742 woodmaster conversion

Hey guys. Just wondering, is it hard to covert the Remington Woodmaster into more of a modern looking rifle with synthic stock, etc.? The rifle I have is in 99.9% condition, I would hate to ruin it, but I do realize that the resale and demand is not real good for the 742.

A synthetic stock will increase the felt recoil. And you may, I say again may end up with bedding issues. Have a look here though. He has inexpensive black synthetic stocks and some nice looking, not so inexpensive, thumb hole stocks for your rifle. He's not Numrich. http://www.gun-parts.com/index.html/
