HK 94 Barrel Question...
I've got a HK94 sittin in the safe, and wondered if after registering itwith the ATF as a short barreled rifle, am I able to fit a spare short mp5 barrel I have for my MP5 into it, without bringing it to a gunsmith?
Gunsmiths nowadays are so expensive, I don't want to deal with it if I don't have to. |

Probably not. You'll need a barrel wrench to start with. I'll have to do some research and give you my opinion in awhile.

HK barrels of that variety are pressed, pinned and welded into place. There are no wrenches or threads involved.
While you could buy a small hydraulic press and do it yourself, the results might not be satisfactory. I'd use a pro. |

Thanks Handy for the info. It's always nice to get updated on firearms, can you tell that I haven't brushed up on H&Ks in years.
I agree with Handy take it to a gunsmith. You can also save money and just have the barrel cut to the length you wan't. |
