Where can I find the twist rate?
I borrowed a 6mm rem and want to know what the twist rate is so I know what weight bullets I can fire. Does anyone know of a website or something where I can look up the gun? It is a Remington 660 so it was only made for a few years.

Just an idea but you could stick a couple of swabs on a cleaning rod and then put a mark at every inch on the rod and one long mark going lenghtwise on the rod. The tight fit with the swabs on the end of the rod will make it follow the rifling and you just count the inch marks as you push it in. When the lengthwise mark makes a full revolution then you know that you have one turin in the number of inches you pushed it in. Not sure if it will work but it might give you an idea.
