Mag Issue Ruger LCP Max 12 Round

Hi All,

Got me a Ruger lcp Max and found an aspect of the 12 Round magazine that really annoys me when shooting. Basically there is a lot of play on the base of the mag where your pinky rests. Really annoys me when I'm shooting and I feel my pinky's grip shift.
I don't have it with the 10 round mag with the pinky extension.
Anyone else have this issue? Anyone try to fix it?

Thanks

Are you saying the base plate on the mag is loose on your example?

I don't think the two I have are any more loose than they are supposed to come from the factory. I actually ended up putting the base plate and pinky extension from the 10 rounder onto the 12 run magazine and it feels a lot better. More stable.
Unfortunately after that modification it only holds 10 rounds

I had an issue where there were shorter 10 round springs in the 12 rounders… which wouldn’t let the slide lock to engage. They sent me two new magazines, which were good to go.

My 12 rounders are fine in regard to the bases. They may feel weakly attached when the magazine is unloaded, but loaded is secure. And I’ve been carrying it with the 12 rounder in OWB with another 12 rounder as a reload. Zero issues here.
