Anyone still find Blazer Brass at Wal-Mart?
I was wondering if anyone can still fond Blazer Brass at their local Wal-Mart? I used to buy 50rd boxes of 9mm of it for only $8.97 a box. When I could find it during the 2008-2009 shortage. Now, I can all they seem to stock is Federal for about a dollar more a box. Which is still the best price but it's still more money and IMHO the Blazer Brass was a better practice round. (It seemed more accurate to me.) Anyway, I was just curious....

CCI (Blazer Brass) is owned by the same company that owns Federal http://www.atk.com/Customer_Solution...mo_default.asp along with a few other ammo companies. I think Federal has replaced Blazer Brass in my area Walmarts.

I think the Federal Champion ammo is nothing more than repackaged Blazer Brass for Wal-Mart.

I still see it at my local Wally World. Not seeing much of a shortage anymore either.

Mostly WWB but just recently picked up some RWS swiss made ammo at Walmart. Shoots great and was less than 12.00 for 50 in 9mm. I'm not sure what else they they have in RWS but its hard to beat in 9mm . . . the quality seems to be great. Has anyone else experienced this?

I think the Federal Champion is the replacement for the Blazer Brass. I haven't seen that packaging sold any place but Wal-Mart. It may be they wanted something unique kind of like a store brand. It shoots just like Blazer Brass to me. So long as they keep me in ammo and the price stays low enough I should be happy.
I don't really know how many cases of Federal Champion I have shot through any more. I just stuffed another 1/2 case in my range bag for the trip this morning. For those that may not know a half case is 500 rounds or 10 boxes. I generally keep a few more boxes of these rounds in the truck for those days when I would like to shoot a bit more. |

I've been buying Federal 9mm for $9.97/50rds at WM for a few weeks now. So far I haven't had any problems with it.

I haven't been able to get ANY 45acp rounds near me for quite some time.
Gander Mountain just got some of the Speer Lawman in but that is the first 45 I have seen in a while (except for the $40 box of 20 Rem Golden Sabres). |

Just curious, but has anybody seen any Blazer Brass anywhere, not just WMT? Maybe CCI has discontinued it.
