Truglo Red or Green??
I'm considering getting a Truglo Fat Bead front sight for my New Beretta White Onyx...
I have used a Red one before, but should I consider Green? What colors do you all prefer? Thank you in advance. |

Of red/green my preference is red.
Actually, I prefer neither, I actually prefer a white bead. When I use a tru glo I seem to want to concentrate or focus on it rather than the target. A white bead seems to be non-distracting, allowing me to focus on target. |

I think they made the white one for folks like me that love the look of brass, "the poor mans gold"...
Took me along time not to drool when I look at the brass bead. Brent |

Green's my color of choice. As always, keep your eye on the target, not the bead.

Green is best for me, especially in low light conditions.

the human eye sees green the best so green. thats why night vision set ups are green, not red

i have tried both colors. both were ok. i thought that they would help pickup the front better which it did. but the type i have used a magnetic base to hold it to the rib. darn thing sat too high and was making me hold low.
it sounds to me like you are replacing the bead that is on the barrel. so i would say go with green. i don't know if the one you're having put is going to be higher. if it is. be sure to recheck your poa. it may be different from before.

Red will do less to reduce your night vision if you have to chase down an end-of-the-day shot. Recovery time is about 20 mins with other colors.

Green seems much better in low light and red is best in full daylight.
