Tough to compare... but for value and customer service, Glock gets the edge.
Would I rather have an HK P7 than a Glock 19? YES!!! Is that a fair comparison? NOPE!!! I'll keep my Glock 23 and spend the rest on ammo |

I personally prefer Glocks over the "older" USP series. But The P2000/30 are really nice too, so I'm not sure.
Where I live, a Glock goes for 630€ and an USP for 715€. That's not as huge a difference as you guys mention all the time. Those prices are quite appropriate in my opinion. An H&K is a little more "refined" than a Glock, but a price difference higher than 100€ would seem unjustified to me. I have one question though: can somebody give me an average price of an H&K USP or P2000 and a Glock in the USA? I would like to know just how big the difference is in the US. |

You can't just convert those prices to $, that makes absolutely no sense... Or else I could say "a S&W M&P for (only) 355.252 € " (they cost about 520$ in the USA, right?) But they actually cost somewhere around 750 € over here...
Our salaries here are a lot higher than in the United States. (that is of course only one of many factors that make a comparison difficult) 600 € for a Glock is an acceptable/normal price. (just like 500-550$ for you Americans) If you convert this sum to $ it sounds extremely high, but it isn't, really. This may sound stupid, but I don't know how else to explain it |

Definately Glock
As my friend mentioned above, where I live there is also not much price difference between the two. In fact sometimes Glock goes for more than Hk. And Glock is the S class here not Hk!
Hk equals more moving parts thus prone to failures. Glock on the othe hand simple, tough, accurate and gaurandamteedly reliable. My two favorite handguns are G21 and G19. I have P2000 but I shoot Gs better. |

Because I believe that both Glocks and HKs are pretty much on a level playing field in terms of reliability and durablity, the price difference usually determines that I buy mostly Glocks. In all honesty, I probably wont ever buy a $900 polymer. Now if someone gave me an HK Id be proud to own it and shoot it but thats not gonna happen.
I vote Glock.

A wise man once said, "You get what you pay for"
When you purchase a glock you have almost no options, when you purchase an H&K you have virtually endless options that fit your needs. For the USP models, HK P30, and HK45 there are ten variants and most come in threaded barrel models for silencers. On the other hand, there are many more assessories for a Glock than H&K's. The new line of H&K's (the HK P2000, HK P30, & HK45) are some of the best weapons to every hit the shelves. I own a HK45 fullsize and I love it! I find them to be more accurate than a Glock, built more rugged, and look and feel great. Glocks are fine weapons but sorry die hard Glock fans, nothing comes close to an H&K (except maybe a Sig or 1911) H&K No Compromise HK45 .45 ACP Sig Pro 2022 .40 S&W Ruger Mini-30 7.62x39mm Winchester 94 .30-30 Weatherby Vanguard 300 WBY Mag |

I would take a G3, MP-5, UMP, G36K, the Grenade machine gun over a Glock ANY DAY. I don't know about you guys.

I prefer Glock's slimmer slide, lower bore axis, and the simplicity of the design.

I thought we were talking handgun because G3 and Mp5 are both outdated weapons.
G36 is ok but I prefer Styer AUG A2 Instead of MP5 I rather have Glock 18, both shoot auto 9x19, but G is much smaller and quicker. |

For me it's just a matter of how they fit my hand.
The Glock 30/36 doesn't feel right in my hand, but the H&K USP 45 Compact fits very nicely.

I think the way things are going Glock will soon need to do something about ergonomics!
Yesterday I had a few top brass cops over for lunch and we started discussing pistols. They didnt talk much about HK but rather compared Glock to Beretta, since those are two which are issued to them. All of them except one officer prefered Beretta over Glock. They argued that any quality handgun will be equally reliable but they Beretta fits and looks is much superior to Glock. I have both and HK as well. I shoot Glock better than the rest but that could be since I have practiced a lot on it. Somehow I feel that Glock may have to play around with it grip for better feel. A safety or decocker was a BIG concern to all of them since they carried live ammo. |

I like both, but prefer Hk. Having said that, it is my intention to acquire a G17 or 19 in next few weeks. No collection would be complete without a Glock in 9mm...Legendary.

It's kind of funny how many Glock fans just simply state: Glock!
And write nothing else. It really does just come down to what you like better and not what is better than the other, at leat when talking about Glock & HK. What do you shoot better? Thats all that counts. Both have their + & - Can't we all just get along However that being said I have to say that in my opinion HK is a finer quality weapon. Just my own opinion. |

HK. I like the supported chambers, and the quality I have seen in HK handguns. The ergonomics of some of the latest HK's is as good as any handgun on the market. Glock's ergonomics leave a lot to be desired. I currently have 4 HK's, one I just bought is the HK 45.
