FEG pa-63 in 380, even if the slide is a little slow, it always goes bang.
Second is my FEG hi-power, until I found that after 3000 rounds or so, you need to remove the extractor and clean under it. Pervious to that I had no jams at all. After the cleaning, back to good stuff.

Just a reminder. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not until after a bazillion rounds, but...

Eric Larsen, who owns that P226? Can I borrow it for a year, too?

If your talking, never has ever failed to fire, cycle, and re-fire, not including the need to reload: Hi-Point 9mm.
Although close second is my 1911 once I get dependable magazines for it.

Some of you have said you've had your Makarovs fail. I should have noted that I've been re-loading my Mak ammo, so that may be why I have not had problems. For you re-loaders out there, I've found that 3.0 gr of RedDot powder workds great in the Mak, as does 2.8 gr of 700X(at least these seem to work well with 95 grain JHP rounds, I haven't tryed much else yet, I'm new to re-loading). I'm thinking about trying to use just a little more powder and see how it works out, because with these loads I only get about 900 FPS, and I know that the Mak should be capable of at least 1000 FPS, maybe even a little more. But on the other hand, I think a reliable load is more important than the extra 100FPS, so maybe I should just stick with what I got.
As for the Glocks that several of you have been talking about, I don't think they are super dependable. My dad has been having problems with his Glock 27. But then again that could be due to the fact that he recently converted it to .357 sig, I'm not really sure. |

Revolvers don't always work. I've had two revolvers fail to fire, both were Rugers.
My SIG, Glock, Colt and Charles Daly pistols have all been 100% reliable so far.

I have about 11,500 rounds through one HK USP .45 compact, and 2500 rounds through each of two others, and not once has any of the three failed to go "bang". They get cleaned and maintained, but these pistols will feed an empty casing without missing a beat.
Lots of other nice pistols mentioned in the posts above. |

HK P7M13
it always did what I expected to do.
there was only one ipsc-day within the past six years, I needed to eject every f***ing round by hand, because magazines were something like the "sahara" If I would not live here in Germany, I still had bought some more of them ... |

The only unmodified pistols I have ever owned that were totally reliable are my Maks and my Cz-75B.

All of my bangs always go Glock, Glock, Glock.
I have a 17, a 27, and a 30. I want a 20 very badly.

Happiness is a warm Glock 19. Pretty much foolproof, at least in my hands.

One more voye for Ruger's KP95DC. Mine has never hiccuped even once.

Hmm. Autos I currently own that have not hiccuped on me (yet)...
Glock 30, HK P7M8, Kimber Classic Stainless LE, SIG P-226 .40, Beretta 96D & 950BS Jetfire. Recent jam problems: one jam in my G29 (operator headspace problem), a series of baffling miscues on the last round in my Springfield Professional (cured by new springs/followers installed in Wilson 47D's), some bobbles from my Springfield V-10 at one range session (a bum handload or two; excessive OAL w/heavy LRN projectiles), a few FTF's on one range trip with my Tomcat a year or two ago (150ish rounds, mostly Blazer, fired through itty-bitty blowback gun at one sitting fouled it up bad enough to cause feeding problems towards the end of the session. Went away after cleaning). |

Most reliable to go bang every time are my SIGS.
P226, P220, P229, and P230. My other reliable bangers- Browning HiPower Para Ordnance P14 and P18 My least reliable -GLOCKs- (17, 26, and 22)-striker fired and hard primers are asking for trouble. I have problems with my Ruger 22 pistols too but that's more a problem with cheap 22 ammo than the gun itself. |

I shot a Taurus PT 940 and loved it. I went shooting with a couple of buddies including my cousin...who had the Sig. They were giving me the "Taurus? Why would anyone buy a Taurus?"
treatment. The moral of the story is after they all shot it..my cousin traded me his Sig for my Taurus for a damn long time...really more like 8-9 months..but close enough. I enjoyed both guns alot....I almost kept it. Shoot well
