Barrels for Dan Wesson Revolvers
I have a DW 44 with the vent heavy barrel in blue and am looking for 4" and even 2" barrels. Does anyone have a source or are there any aftermarket suppliers?

You can call the factory (they just don't list anything on their website) or keep your eye on "flea bay" as they pop up there from time to time.

Call or e-mail DW,
Be forewarned, they're none to responsive as of late. Other option is a gun show. You can usually find a few there. Take Care |

I found a guy on the west coast Herb's Guns who carry's all sorts of DW parts and guns. I also decided to try CZ-USA just for the hell of it. They got back to me this afternoon and I placed the order for the barrel and shroud, etc.
Has anyone had experience porting the DW barrel/shroud setup? MagnaPort or any other? |

Many moons ago I used to shoot IHMSA matches. Several of the guys fooled with porting the Dan Wesson Model 44's and Supermags. Not one said it really made much difference. Those guns, particularly with the full length shroud handled recoil very well to start with.
YMMV Take Care |
