Emergency food - long term storage

ok survivor types, other than canned food and MRE"s what is good for long term storage of emergency food?

My list is as follows

MSR Miox (water purifier)
The old Pur Scout (water filter)
MSR whisperlite (portable stove)

Canned foods
MRE's (expensive, canned foods better unless you travel)
Rice (storage 2 years?)

then i run out of ideas.

Peanut butter, sugar, salt, pepper, oateal, dry cereal, sun-dried fruits and vegetables, jam or jelly, mustard, ketchup, beef jerky, and powdered milk that you mix with water.

Dry grains like rice and oats/flour should be as whole as possible, to give the most nutrients. Unopened yeast will keep if stored in a cooler spots.

Sourkraut keeps very well, and retains much of the nutrients of the cabbage. On topic: Sigsauerkraut is even better.

Honey will keep forever, and has more health benefit than sugar.

Iodized salt is very important for flavoring and preserving meat (as well as a source of iodine). You'll need a fair amount.

Vitamins.

Dry seaweed will never go bad, and is also full of nutrients. Team it with some dry miso soup mix as a source of soy.

Common garden seeds like for tomato plants and greenbeans would be a good idea.
