Is Taurus 850 +p rated?

I just bought a used Taurus 850. On barrel it says 38 Special. I thought these were +P rated but the dealer was unsure since it did not say that on barrel. I think it was made in 2007 and has the newer style of cylinder release and integrated safety. Also I know their web page says +P. Just want make sure they never made a non- +P rated 850.

So is it ok to shoot +P?

Thanks

Yes indeedy. What DonR said is true. Can bring you a load of links from the TaurusArmed.net if need be to back it up, but figure that might be a might much.

The owner's manuals are a bit out of date on this and the recent few year catalogs verify that all Taurus revolvers and pistols will stand up to a steady +P diet. A call to Taurus Customer service also got the same answer.

PM me if you want links. These have verification and suggested loads.
