I don't think he shot it. I think that is the original proof target from Sig. Apparently from a vise too. I wish all guns came with such a proof target from 50m from a vise. Just so I know what the gun is capable of when I receive it. After that, there's no blaming the gun, hehehe.
To me, it is a shame to engrave & plate guns, especially classics known for accuracy. larvatus - Do you intend to shoot it, or is it strictly for the collection?

I was unaware that pistols were worn to the kind of barbecues that serve mushed goose liver.

It does come with the best test target I've ever seen from a service gun. |

And I think that the "correct" response is directly related to the cost of the garment in question. Just a thought.

I have pretty "pimp-ish" tastes...but man that is one gaudy gun. You definitely win the "ugliest gun of the week" award.

proof
+1 about the proof target. It'd be nice, as well as educational, to see proof targets accompany all of the pistols that we buy. That is the best that I have seen from a service gun. In fact, the only better ones that I have seen are from very specialized pistols - Free pistols.

The Sig P210 has got to be one of the prettiest pistols ever made... engraving may take away from the simple beauty of some guns and make others down right ugly, that is certainly not the case for the P210.
Great purchase... Congrats!

According to the SIG factory price lists published in the Eighties and the nomenclature identified by Erwin Armbruster, this Längslinien-Gravur pattern is the second most elaborate among the standard engraved P210 variants, after the banknote style of Englisch-Gravur. It is relatively easy to find the lesser floral styles of Akanthus- and Eichenlaub-Gravur, but this is the only pattern of its kind that I ever saw offered for sale. It seems to be unfired, but must have been played with, since the factory delivers these pistols with the safety lever set in the firing position. The "N" front sight (Korn) is of the height most typically installed by the factory.

Come now, that is not a service pistol. It is not a run-of-the-mill production 210. Pretending otherwise or not.

It's a nice looker, no doubt. I've never had to opportunity to shoot one, but I hear good things about it.
