Hi guys
A friend of mine has gotten a hold of a Ruger .22 twin barrel type gatlin gun, with a tripod at the end of it and excepts 2 clips. He is trying to locate more info on it. I haven't seen it yet but that is what his description of what it is and I'm not too sure on how accurate the term gatlin gun would be to describe it. This is just how he explained it to me. I'm trying to help find info on this weapon and haven't been able to locate any. Does anyone out there have any idea the name and model number of this item, or how many were made. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ross T. |

Someone a couple of months ago built one and told about it over in "Art of the Rifle". Sorry, I don't have time right now to search for the right thread. Looked cool though.

Looks kinda neat, basically 2 10/22's side by side. Gets me thinking, is a Gatling gun considered a "machine gun" in the eyes of ATF?? You can't really say it keeps firing when you pull the trigger, since the energy of the gun is not driving the firing process. Would be kind of fun to build a gatling shooting .22.

I've seen these setups made with 2 M-1 carbines. Also, I saw one made with 4 Runger 10/22s. What a cool toy.

I assume it would be highly illegal to rig a chain-saw motor with clutch to the crank of the Gatlings?

Hi again everybody
I might get to take a look at this kit before the weeks out. Not sure if I'll have time to shoot it but we'll seeeee Son drop me an email or call we'll get some range time in here soon, been pretty busy at work. Hmmmm interesting idea Jim seeeing as how me and my friend are avid tinkeres.....That's tinkering (plural) not tinkerbells!!!! Not that there's anything wrong with them I'm just not one I'll plant the seed of ingnuity into my friends head lol. I think we'll see how this thing works before too long, I'll let you guys know what it's like once we do. Ross T. |
