I saw this thread on another site and thought it would be fun to give it a try here:

What are your single favorite handguns in each caliber? (Feel free to add additional calibers)
Also, what are your carry handguns?

Here are mine:

.22 Ruger MKII 5.5" Bull Stainless
.32 KelTec P32
.38 Taurus 85 (wife's input)
9mm Kahr MK9
.40 Glock 23
.44 Ruger Bisley-Vaquero
.45 Kimber Compact Stainless

Carry:
Duty - Glock 23
Off Duty (CCW) - Kahr MK9 or KelTec P32

.22 what's that?
.380 used to be an overrated pre-68 PPK but it jammed a lot
9mm tie...P7M8 and Browning HI-Power, although carry the P7 so that tells you something
.38 a model 60 smith has been on my ankle since Reagan took office but my renegade is calling out for a 342
357 Don't have much use for 'em
.45 Love them 1911s...although a Sig 220 comes close

9mm - Ruger P89
.45 - Kimber Custom Stainless
.44 - Ruger Super Blackhawk
.45 LC - Ruger Super Blackhawk

Except for the Kimber, there's a pretty strong pattern here.

.22-Bwahahahaha!

.38-Colt SV-VI 2"

.357-Colt King Cobra 6"

.40-Sig 229

.44 Mag.-Colt Anaconda 8"

.45 ACP-Springfield Armory loaded 1911-A1

.45 Super- Springfield Armory V-16 Longslide

Other than the Sig, they're all stainless. Not belittling a .22 revolver. Just don't have one, and I haven't been able to say "Bwahahahaha!" for a while. when I say it to my wife, she slaps me.

Don't carry very often. Was a Sig 229, then a Taurus M85, now a Lady Smith. A very macho looking Lady Smith.

This is tough:

.22 Ruger Single Six stainless

.380 Colt Mustang stainless

.38 Special Smith & Wesson Model 60

9mm Ruger P89 (this was a tough choice; I own three Hi-Powers, Glock 17 and several others.........)

.357 Mag Ruger GP-100 4" Stainless (just as tough, I own the Model 28, Blackhawk, SP-101...... Would really like to try out a 686 but can't find an 8 3/8" used)

9x18 Guess

.44 Mag. Ruger Super Blackhawk 7 1/2 " Stainless

.45 ACP Colt Government Model (don't care about series 70 vs. Series 80, I have both.)

.45 Colt Ruger Blackhawk convertible 7 1/2"

.454 Casull Ruger Super Redhawk

Carry Guns; Colt Officers Model Enhanced stainless .45 ACP and Colt Mustang .380 Stainless

I honestly didn't know that my choices would contain so many Rugers, I buy all brands without prejudice, but hey, just being honest.

And only pausing to fire and load.
