An Uzi. I would have listed an ACOG equipped and suppressed M16 carbine, but the thing jammed after only a couple of rounds due to a bad mag. The Uzi, by contrast, was perfect.

Probably my friends 9x23 super-duper decked out race gun(1911). It wasn't technically a full auto but the trigger was so light and so short that you could hold it just right and the recoil would induce the following shot.
Never shot a full auto Thompson but even the semis are fun. Esp with the 10.5" barrel.

I never had a chance to fire it, or even to see it fired, but I saw an absolutely gorgeous Japanese matchlock, once.

While I was in the service I got the chance to shot the M2 .50 machine gun. Only shot 100 rounds but still very fun.

A reproduction Delisle carbine. Not to say that Uzis and .50 BMGs aren't cool, but the Delisle was a bit more eccentric.

M16A2, M60, M203 grenade launcher, LAW. I really liked the M16, when shooting semi-auto. Looking back I think the M203 and LAW would be a lot of fun to take a few shots with again.

Full-auto Thompson and select-fire MP-5.
The main thing keeping me out of owning a select-fire firearm is not the cost of the gun, nor the cost of taxes/paperwork...its the fact that I know I'd end up having to take out a second mortgage on the house to pay for ammo. Mike

Back when i was younger and out shooting with a buddy, he let me hold onto his custom benchrest 6mm International while he was off watering some of the bushes.
Thumb hole stock, Canjar set trigger, decent varmint scope, and pretty darned accurate. While he was occupied with business, I turned around and saw a ground squirrel about 50 yards away staring at me. He said, "what are you waiting for, SHOOT IT!" Put the crosshairs just under the little bugger and took the shot, it was the first time I had actually sucked a squirrel out of a hole from the explosive nature of the Nosler balistic tips that thing used. That's what hooked me on varmint shooting. Took many years before I figured out what would be the "perfect" varmint rifle for me and then eventually I found out how accurate AR15s can get. Now the coolest rifle I have ever fired is my accurized AR15 that I use for squirrel shooting. Little to no recoil, accurate, and explosive on vermin There is lots more out there that I would consider cooler than my AR15, just haven't fired it yet or owned it yet. Got lots of time though. |

H&K MP5 (in many varients)
Although it was a duty gun for me it is still my favourite sling shot. I must have fired several hundred thousand 9mm through those things. Ah the good old days.... Regards, HS/LD |

Don't laugh, but the most fun gun that I ever shot was a class 3
MAC 10, silencer, wire stock, the works. Don't know how much it would be good for, but it was a BLAST to shoot! Aside from that, probably an AC556- some of the State Dept. guys were still carrying them a while ago, and I was in the right place at the right time. Pretty fun gun to shoot, different from the M16-series. Took a bit to get used to the controls, tho. ANM |

When I was in the Army it was the M3A1 Submachine “Grease” gun. Today, I like the Garand. But a Krag is sure nice to shoot. Then again there is the Trapdoor ….and….

For me, it's either the M60 or M249 machine gun, or the M203 grenade launcher.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to shook the MK19 or the M2, but was given a demonstration of the MK19. I've never even seen a ma deuce fire. I guess that's what I get for being light, instead of mech infantry. Although ... I didn't technically fire it, but I've called-for-fire from Howitzers shooting 155mm HE. That was pretty fun.

Got to shoot an honest to goodness BAR, full auto, open bolt. WOW!
All other full autos pale in comparison. Even the belt fed stuff wasn't as much fun as the BAR. Next in line would be the Barret .50. For such a long range rifle.. it didn't kick that much. I was punching a 10 inch smiley face at 600 yards. I've never done that with a standard bolt rifle. On the "standard" side, the first time I shot a 45-70 guide gun I was impressed, lotta oooommff in a small package. Liked the Garand too. Looking forward to trying a .375 H&H.
