Gun-Kote

Anyone use the Gun-Kote from KGI? Here is a good thread on application:

But there is no follow up on durability, wear, lubrication etc.

Seems like a good product, but I have never heard about its comparison to "professional jobs", etc.

My Springfield 1911 and my wife's Colt .380 Govt Model have been gun-koted for about 12 years. Both are daily carry guns. Wear is noticable, but not serious. Never any corrosion. I've been truly satisfied with it. Works best with a light sand blast and thorough degreasing. If it gets a skin or nick, flat black Krylon matches for touch-up.
