Can anyone identify the handgun in this picture?

I came across this picture here:

Can anyone identify that pistol? I've never seen one like it.

Thanks doubleaes2!

I didn't know a "semiautomatic revolver" existed. Very interesting pistol.

Can't recall the particulars, but this was featured in Guns and Ammo within the last year. Can't find my copy, think maybe the mysterious housekeeping elves around here got it.

Yup. A Mateba alright -- and it looks like Oleg Volk's photography.

By the way, the "automatic revolver" is not a new concept. Webly made one around the turn of the last century (1900) and it was called the Webly-Fosbery Automatic Revolver.

Given that the semi-auto is only about 30 years older than the semi-auto, it would seem that they're both roadapple worthy.

To adopt your recent thematic excursion, put on three heavy coats while I blast at you with my revolver...

Are you out of your mind?
Why do people think that because a design is old, it's no longer effective? Oh, because my revolver was built in 1977, and the design is 100 years old means it's somehow less lethal now, in the day of polymer, tactical, laser sight, bithin'-cool semiautos?

Dasmi,

Don't get too worked up over swath's comments. He's an inveterate troll who keeps showing up, and is just as quickly identified by his moronic posts and is executed.

Don't know why I didn't recognize his posts for what they were.

CDNN was advertising these revolvers for a while earlier this year. They have since dropped them, probably all sold. Evidently, the importer didn't find that they moved all that well.
