.41 Auto Mag Handgun--Not A Dessert Eagle

I am on a real quest to find and purchase an auto handgun chambered for the .41 magnum. I cannot recall the name or manufactuer but I know I have seen and read about it at some point years ago. Please note that it was [U]not[U] the Dessert Eagle model. So, if there is anyone out there who can refresh my memory, it will be appreciated.

Also, I am seeking SP-4 ammo. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have an Automag 4 that is chambered in 10mm Magnum... I'm not sure if they ever chambered any in 41 Mag or not, but I have an AM 2,3,4,5... & not seen or heard of one in 41 Mag... I think I have heard of a Coonan chamered in 41 Mag though... but of the 4-5 I've seen, they were all 357 Magnum ???

Wildey made a 44 but I don't know if they mad a 41 or not.

Best I can find is the Automags must have chambered the "Automag 4" also in .41 JMP, not 41 Mag

No Wildey 41.
The 44 was actually the smallest caliber they made.

Was chambered in .44 AMP (Auto Mag Pistol). This is not the AMT Automag pistol (II-V). The AMT guns were in .22mag (II), .30 carbine (III), 9mm Win Mag & .45 Win Mag (IV) and .50 AE (V). These guns are a completely different design than the original Auto Mag, and the only similarity is the name (Auto Mag vs. Automag), and the fact that some of the same people (Harry Sanford, and likely a few others) were involved in making both gun designs

The original Auto Mag was also later offered in .357 AMP (the .44 case necked down). Custom barrels were also made in .22, .25. & 30 calibers, all based on the .44 case (a cut off .308 WIN). After the international marketing rights to the Auto Mag were sold to Lee Jurras (of Super Vel ammo), small numbers were also offered in .41 JMP (Jurras Mag Pistol), also a necked down .44AMP case.

Small numbers (prototypes) of the Coonan automatic were made in .41 magnum (the standard revolver round), but never put into production.

The only other .41 autos I am aware of are those made for the .41AE (Action Express), which is not in the true magnum pistol class.

Only the Desert Eagle in .41 Rem Mag is currently available, Auto Mags in .41JMP are quite rare, more so than either .44AMP or .357 AMP guns.

And yes, a couple of years ago Wildey introduced the .44AMP chambering for their pistol. It is the smallest caliber (diameter) round they have ever offered.
