If All Hell Broke Loose & You Could Have Just One 9mm

What would it be of the following, if the world went to hell in a handbasket, but 9mm cartridges were still plentiful (my apologies in advance if I left your favorite off the list):

1) Glock 17

2) CZ-75

3) Springfield XD

4) Browning Hi-Power

5) SIG-Sauer 226

6) HK USP-9

You left The Best Pistol Ever Built (the Glock 34) off the list, so I voted for the lesser, but still most excellent, Glock 17.

If I cant have a 1911, then I want something that works just like it. No transition, other than needing more bullets Besides, the High Power is the nicest feeling gun to hold on to, or was that weapon?

I wimped out last time this question was asked and will do so again. I'd bring a Glock 17 and smuggle a BHP and CZ-75BD.

All are good guns, but seeing as how common they are (I believe I've read somewhere that the US armed forces use them ) I would go with my Beretta 92FS.

By far more common that the USP & XP:barf:

If the world "went to Hell in a handbasket" I'd want the most rugged pistol on Earth. I figure gun parts and gunsmiths would be hard to come by. Glock would be my choice.

If it needs cleaning (it shouldn't), you can put it in a box of rocks and shake it for a few minutes.
Rust really isn't a problem unless you store it in salt water for more than a year or two..
Ear wax can be used as lubrication.
Eats any ammo (at least my G-22 does).

Flame away.

1. Glock 17 for ease of maintenance
2. Beretta 92FS due to the Army's having them (For parts)
3. CZ-75 since well I have one (well 2 more weeks)

2 things:

First, my failure to include the Beretta 92 WAS a glaring ommission; the same can be said of the Walther P99. I'm sure a Ruger (P95) and S&W could have found their way onto the list, as well, but I was trying to keep it somewhat manageable.

Second, I'm surprised (but not shocked) that the BHP is getting as many votes as it is. BHP loyalists are die-hard.

If all I could find were 9mm, I guess it would be better than shooting blanks.
I would beg borrow or steal reloading stuff to reload 10mm or .357 mag.
While I was doing that, I would arm myself with a CZ or a third gen smith.
I wouldn't walk by a sig if it were laying in the road.

My pick is the BHP. I know how to shoot it and have lots of mags available. I'd have to find the rest somewhere, and probably wouldn't like them as much, or shoot them as well, anyway.

No brainer, I'd get my trusty usp9.

Load it with possible unknown ++++P+++++ ammo with full confidence.

Freeze it, dunk it in what have you, just fire away!!!

I chose my SIG Sauer P226 because a Glock 18 wasn't on the list.

If all hell broke loose and all I could have was a 9m/m, make mine a MP-5Sd with a ton of magazines. 'Cause, nobody is going to be worrying about the NFA at that point.

I can't believe someone disrespected a SIG! What the heck?

The Sig would likely be the most accurate of the above pistols and my choice if this 9mm was my only weapon if the world went to hell. If the question is simply which 9mm would we choose (but we could have other guns as well) I would take a Beretta 92fs because I bet parts would be easier to find than any of the other guns listed. Glock would be a good choice also.

I would also take a HKMP5 (any variation) if the SHTF...

But, if I'm confined to a silly list, then I'll make do with my Glock 17.Only Because I have more mags for it than for my Sig P228.
