[Link to invalid post] got me thinking ... what handgun[s] (not rifle or shotgun) do most people grab first for home defense? I reach for a S&W 4006.

Glock 23 loaded with 165gr Remington Golden Sabers. So far it's the gun I shoot best & the thing doesn't seem to know how to malfunction :-)

Glock 17 or 1911, depending on where I am in my house. Prefer to get to a shotgun, though...

Although I have a Gold Cup and a GP100 the pistol I have nearest is my Sig 230 - .380.
I have shot it so much and have become so familiar with it that I KNOW I have a better chance getting hits with it than my other handguns. It fits in my hand so well, and it points like another finger. The .380 gets back on target a little quicker than the bigger calibers. It keeps me covered between my bed and the closet my 12 gauge is in! |

Any good gun in 9mm or above, that can be shot accuratly and reliably.... the max round or gun I would use would be a .45 "Long Colt", a potent proven killer that has mild recoil... Posse up!

Ruger GP-100 loaded with 125gr golden sabers. I own and love many semi-automatics, but I know my revolver will always function.
