Glock

The sad part is I value simplicity so much in a firearms design, I think I'd still favor the Glock even if it cost more than the HK's.

I've shot both guns in various calibers. The H&K feels better to me. I went and bought a USP .45F and have no regrets. When I'm at the range with my friend I still shoot their Glocks, but I like my USP better.

Hk...

but only slightly. I feel the Hk has a slight edge in versatility. Now if the Glock didn't have the availability of hi-caps, the margin would be wider.

HK- but it is mainly an asthetic thing. I don't care for the lines of any Glock, even though I do own a couple. Plus I enjoy not seeing a million HKs whenever I go shooting, it provides a nice change of pace from all the Glocks, 1911s, and Berettas.

HK - No built in finger grooves, it has a HAMMER, and it had accessory rails from the start. Glock copied them.

This is a very difficult question for me. I voted for the HK for one simple reason; I can shoot it more accurately than the Glock.

If we're talking Polymer vs. Polymer, I'd go with Glock. HK USP in all its variants is overpriced and lacks the simplicity of the Glock, although I will concede they're very fine pistols.

All the HK pistols I really like are non-polymer: P7M8, P7PSP, and the P9S. The USP never really rang my chimes.

This is difficult to say unless you get specific. HK has models that don't fall in the same category as Glock's. For a light weight reliable combat gun I would buy a Glock.

HK makes a fine pistol, but if you have a problem with it their Customer Service is worse than poor. I have never had a good experience with HK's Customer Service department. I have been hung-up on, ignored and otherwise endured rude behavior.

I have never had a bad experience with a Glock Representative. I have had an extractor replaced, for free, because the bluing, or parkerizing, had come off the one side visible on the side of the slide. I have had a couple of magazines replaced because the outer polymer was cracked. When I call Glock I will get an answer, or a call back, by a polite and helpful person.

Based on this alone I will have to say get a Glock first. Buy an HK if you have the money and like being ignored when you have a problem like a broken firing pin spring.

HK, mostly because I shoot them better than the Glock.

The HK feels better to me, shoots better to me and looks better to me...

Both makes are great, and each have it's own advantage over the other. I, myself sold my USP .40 to buy a Glock 23 and have no regrets in doing so.

It all comes down to personal preference between H&K and Glock, I trusted my life with each.

Glock 4 Locke!

My G21 is my favorite firearm in my entire collection, followed closely by my G19.

That's not to say that H&K doesn't make truly fine pistols, because they most certainly do.

But for me, it's The Combat Tupperware,

The Drastic Plastic,

The One and Only:

GLOCK!

everything aside...and just based on the feel of the gun...I'd have to go with the HK.

Today a friend of mine bought an HK USP 45. Meanwhile I rented a Glock 19, just to get a feel of it, to see if I could shoot it better than the 26.

Anyways, yes, I could shoot it better than the 26. But I couldn't shoot it as well as the HK. Sure they were different calibers, but my trigger finger still hurts from that Glock trigger. After 200 rounds my finger is sore.

Main reason I rented the G19 was because I wanted to get an idea of what the HS2000's would feel like since they are similar guns, from what I've been reading. If the HS2000 is a 300 dollar gun that felt like the Glock I shot today...and with a better trigger...I'm sold. I just have to find a place in Houston that may have them for a reasonable price.

I have to go with a GLock.
I have a Glock 34 and 35 that I shoot USPSA.
My HK includes, HK USP40, USP match, P7m8, P7M10, P9S 9mm, P9s Target 45.....I shoot my HK way more accurately and I like HK designs FAR BETTER, fits better, and trigger is better.
BUT
My Glock is simpler, more reliable to my experience, and the parts are cheap and plentiful. Magazines are everywhere.

That was a hard choice though....It would be a toss up between the Glock 35 and P7M10.

It depends on the application:

OFFENSIVE HANDGUN
The HK MK23 with a wet KAC suppressor has no comparison!

CCW
For IWB, the P7 suites me well.
For ankle carry, the G26 is compact.
The trigger and grip on the G26 lends to VERY accurate shooting.
The SA pull with no safeties on the Glock scares me for the potential to AD.

HOME DEFENSE
The P7 is the winner. It can be kept loaded for instant use but someone unfamiliar with a P7 cannot usually fire it.

Regards,
George

I have owned several Glocks and HK pistols..while the HK is a fine gun..I have to say that the Glock is the fastest to first shot auto..excluding 1911s that I have used. The Glock is a fine CCW weapon and quite safe.

I really like the HK and would not feel at all underarmed with one.

I have been shooting for over thirty years and I have found there are many pistols better than the Glock for other applications..but for CCW a Glock is very hard to beat.

H&K

I have always had good luck with H&K's customer service. Rarely had to use it, but when I have, they have always been friendly, helpful, and quick to respond.

H&K's are my personal favorite as I shoot them better than all my other handguns.

Love my G17, but sleep with my H&K...ok it hangs out while I sleep next to it. Can't beat H&K's fit, reliabilty, and shear shooting fun! HOWEVER, my Glock hasn't let me down (except for the trigger spring during a steel match).

What you mean a Glock actually failed???? Yes, even the mighty Glock!

My USP .45 had an ejector prob out the box, H&K fixed it and got it back to me in 5 biz days, plus a free mag for my trouble...can't really complain about THAT service! I guess its just the touch .

I like the SA/ DA alternative w/ H&K...where's glock there...or am I hoping for too much?

I thought the first 10,000 Steyr's had a problem and was recalled for an upgrade??? Not very re-assuring in my book.
